All PYSA volunteers need to pass a background check and complete an annual concussion training in addition to completing this registration form. Both actions need to be confirmed by your league coordinator before you can start with your team.
Background check - Once you submit your volunteer registration, PYSA will automatically submit your information for a background check.
Annual concussion training - PYSA will accept a current/valid training certificate from any CDC approved concussion training program completed in the last year. If you have already completed a concussion training with another sport this year, simply submit your certificate to your league coordinator via email. If you need to complete a training, PYSA suggests Safesport or Heads Up. The concussion training requirement is waived for any licensed MD.
